Mmm, mmm. Dig the jazzy feel to this track. ‘Anywhere But Here’ from Behavior has got a great acid-jazz type vibe to it. The drum line to this track is what grabbed me right from the get-go. Then the sultry female vocal comes in over the top of it to seal the deal. It’s kind of along the lines of a DJ Shadow track or something from U.N.K.L.E. Read the rest of this entry »

‘Over The Moon’ from Jessica Owen is singer-songwriter fare in the vein of Jewel, only with a better voice and better hooks. ‘I Know Why, Virginia’ from Fojimoto is a little bit folk, a little alt. Country, a little bit of retro sounding pop. ‘Share Your Love’ from Atari Baby is a nice chunk of electronica for you to check out. Got plenty of changes, plenty of groove and the vocal for the track is very cool. It’s one of those tracks that you definitely don’t have to worry about getting bored with, which is a problem with a lot of electronica. The true stellar electronica tracks like ‘Share Your Love’ are equally welcome both in the club, in your car and in your home. Read the rest of this entry »

‘Yesterday’ by Escape From Earth is the first submission that GT has received from a viewer that has made the cut and is now a featured artist, so congratulations to them on that front. Second, once you hear ‘Yesterday’ you’ll completely understand why. Heavy rock that has some really great harmonies, it has a polished sound and a great hook that really drives this song home. Their sound is reminiscent of Filter except with a better singer and better harmonies. Read the rest of this entry » |
