‘Story Untold’ from Andrea Revel is a nice cross between electronica and pop. It really is a nice mixture of both, but I can only pick one for it’s genre here in GigaTracks world so…. electronica it is. She has a great voice and the track is very reminiscent of Beth Orton’s last album Daybreaker, which is a pretty big compliment since I love that album. Her style is also slightly reminiscent of Dido as well. The song’s got a very tight groove to it and it really keeps you on your toes. Never gets dull. Read the rest of this entry »

As I continue my travels throughout the worldwide Hip-Hop kingdom here on Gigatracks, I come upon “The Most Quotable” I’m not sure if a song title was ever more appropriate than in this case. Scott Cooper brings us ‘Who You Are’. More singer/songwriter stuff this week. I came across a bunch of really strong melody writers for this update and Scott is a prime example of that. ‘Who Yo Are’ is about how the past of each person determines their present and much of their future. “So many people lose their past these days”.
