It’s amazing the quality of songs being churned out by artists on their own without the support of a label. Not the songwriting, but in the production. Take Dave Keat’s ‘The Spectator’, for example. I mean… wow. Just… wow. It’s perfect. There is nothing in this song that should keep it from reaching all over the radio and selling a bajillion copies, just like it is. It’s a chunk of pop-rock perfection and it’s a crime that you probably haven’t heard it until now. Dave’s sound is very radio friendly and his knack for strong lyrics and good melodies make this song a great find. Well-written and crafted, this is a standout track. This should be a call to bedroom and basement artists everywhere. You can make tracks that are easily as well put together and produced as any major release. If you don’t think so, just ask Dave.
