Well, it’s time to rock once again with ‘Invincible’ from Boxing Day. It’s good old-fasioned straight ahead rock. No frills, No glitz, all attitude and continuing in the tradition of bands like Oasis and The Black Crowes. And man does it sound good!

Boxing Day hails from Columbia, South Carolina, or as they put it “Hootie And the Blowsifh Land”. Now I’m not gonna’ bash Hootie, because sometimes they can write a mean hook too. However, it’s easy to see why these guys felt the need to create something that was a backlash to all that acoustic pop. They also seem to go the name Capitol, although I can’t find any mention of that on their site and there’s no back story. Maybe they robbed a bank or something and it’s now their alias. Or maybe I should get out more.
