All right, now we’ve got a little something to fill that void that’s been left by A Tribe Called Quest. Or perhaps you might be a fan of De La Soul. If so then we’ve definitely got a track for you. It’s called ‘Balance’ from The Crown City Rockers. It’s got that laid back chilled-out vibe that Tribe was known for and the instrumentation and beats are taking this track a long way toward what makes this such a killer track. But it’s the emcee that really makes it shine. His rapid-fire flow is fantastic and his lyrics are on point.

Crown City Rockers, coming out of Cali by way of Bah-ston, are actually a mixture of Berklee musicians combined with a producer and emcee who are off the hook. The chemistry here is stellar, bringing a nice organic feel to their hip-hop.

For the naysayers out there, be sure to check out this track for a classic example of what Hip-Hop still has to offer. Hip-Hop’s death, as you can see from this track, has been very prematurely pronounced.
