‘If I Had Wings’ is a single from Andrew Osenga’s latest called Souvenirs And Postcards. Andrew is someone that I’ve been listening to for quite some time and this song is an excellent example of why. It’s just him, an acoustic guitar and some heartfelt lyrics. Very sparse, very laidback and utterly touching.

Andrew’s solo albums are full of tales heartache and yearning, tales of the real world and tales of finding redemption. He has an inate ability to capture a moment in time in a song and perfectly represent the emotion that goes with that moment whether it’s heartbreak or triumph.
Andrew is from Nashville and you may or may not know him from his stints with Caedmon’s Call and from his days in The Normals. I have enjoyed both of these bands, but, for me at least, it’s his solo work that really moves me.
