Scott Cooper brings us ‘Who You Are’. More singer/songwriter stuff this week. I came across a bunch of really strong melody writers for this update and Scott is a prime example of that. ‘Who Yo Are’ is about how the past of each person determines their present and much of their future. “So many people lose their past these days”. That’s a killer lyric.

Scott reminds me a good bit of Josh Rouse or Duncan Sheik. He’s got a great ear for what sounds good, but he also has the lyrics that you find popping into your head regularly. It’s a rare talent and Scott does it justice.
