The Rantings Of Eva are the kind of band that make this job worthwhile. I get all excited when I come across a track that I know has mass appeal. I can’t wait to introduce my friends to it. Hence the birth of Gigatracks. That was how this whole idea came about and it’s based on finding artists like Rantings of Eva. The kind of artist that when you talk to your friends you say, “I’ve got this band that I can’t wait for you to hear”.

‘Infrared’ is pop rock in it’s very best sense of the word. It got great production, great lyrics and hooks for days. Right out of the gate you know that this is going to be good. It’s radio-friendly, yet doesn’t sound bland and overplayed.

I don’t say this too regularly, because one, people say it so often that it sounds a little cliched, and two, because most of the time it’s note the case, but I’m going to go out on a limb here and say that these guys will be a band to watch. As a matter of fact, I’m really looking forward to the release of their album which they are working on as of the writing of this missive. Based on this single, they  hold the potential to join the ranks of other Gigatracks alumni like Mae and Anberlin in the upper echelon of my favorite artists.
