Modern rock with the bluster and swagger of classic rock is how I’d describe ‘Hypnotized’ from Icares. It’s got the polish, heaviness and angst that encompasses the sound of modern rock radio, but it also sports riffage that evokes 70’s and 80’s era hard rock and a sound big enough to fill any arena. Icares may not be treading any new ground, but they do a fantastic job of merging the best of old school rock and new contemporary radio-ready rock.
