If you think Tagine sounds similar to the mid-West group known as Flavor, then Vanna, show them what we have behind Door #2. Tagine is indeed the same ole Flavor just on a new label (Bluhammock) with a new name. Same great music, same great musicians. Tagine is inevitably going to draw comparisons to Maroon 5 and also to one of their influences, the Red Hot Chili Peppers. The sounds are similar, but not the same. Tagine carve out their own niche, infusing pure funk with a touch of R&B and some jazz stylings to boot. Wade Linkert (vocals / guitar) and Alex Moreno (guitar) have been playing together since their teen years and that longevity of creation produces the tight sound that follows them from song to song. Secret Solution is the title track off their latest album and gives listeners a delicious taste of just how sweet pop-rock can still be. Post a comment
